    Mona

    Is the Director of The Learning Tree Childcare. She started the nursery in 2008 as home-based childcare. Since then she has qualified from Kingston University as an Early Years Professional. Mona works closely in partnership with the team and a joint setting SENCO as well as a joint Safeguarding Officer. She is a trained Forest School Leader and strives to maintain a team who value the importance of early years, outdoor play and physical literacy to support a mindset of valuing yourself. Mona is also working with a number of organisations and is focussed on driving forward the messages coming from organisations such as Laureus, Model City, You Be You, International Physical Literacy Association, UCL Institute of Education. Mona’s overall vision for the nursery is to offer innovative and exciting opportunities for families, practitioners and the children. She wants an environment where children love physical activity and have the opportunity to develop excellent communication skills with a ‘can do’ mindset. The Learning Tree creates a safe space to develop children’s confidence and high self-esteem. We want children to be secure in themselves for when they face the bigger world that faces them when they leave The Learning Tree Childcare.

    Alma

    Gained her Childcare Level 2 qualification in 2015 and has now achieved her Childcare Level 3 in 2020. Alma works in the Baby Room and has been with us since November 2015. She has gained experience working with all ages at The Learning Tree Childcare. However her specialised knowledge and experience has been with children aged 0-24 months. Alma has grown with the setting and has worked with us to build the culture and ethos to fulfil the needs of our babies and their families.

    Storm

    Storm is the Preschool Room Leader (3-4 year olds) and has been with us since January 2016. She has successfully completed her BA Honours in Early Childhood Studies. Storm is now seeking her next opportunity to see where next in her professional development and career. Storm is the designated lead in Physical Literacy at The Learning Tree Childcare. She is consistently recognised as a team member with exemplary practice. It is her practice that reminds us why excellent practitioners must be celebrated and recognised for their work directly with practitioners and children.

    Jacq

    Is our Chef and has been at The Learning Tree since January 2020. The children have named her ‘Jac the Incredible Chef’. Jacq’s mission is to engage us all in trying new recipes. As a setting, we invite families to share their recipes too. Jacq is looking into us all developing a sense of adventure with food and she looks forward to the team, families and children joining her on this exciting journey. Jacq is keen to get families to come together and cook to have a shared experience of all that we like to enjoy.

    Asif

    Is the Director of The Learning Tree Childcare alongside Mona. He worked in Supply Chain for over twenty years while jointly developing the idea for the nursery in the mid 2000’s and integral to its launch in 2008. In 2014 he joined the business 100% exclusively. Asif has a degree in Business Administration and a professional Marketing Diploma. The practical experience and business knowledge has worked very well alongside Mona’s creativity and passion. Although Asif is very much in the back office a few families have got to know him over time. He is passionate about building relationships, between ourselves, staff, and families and sees it at the very core of what we do.

  • Prapti

    Prapti

    Joined the team in February 2019. Prapti currently works in the Bumblebee Room with our two-year-olds. As well as having a degree in Computer Science, Prapti achieved her level 3 qualification in Childcare in 2020 whilst working at The Learning Tree Childcare. Prapti’s patience and calm nature have meant that she has been the perfect match to support children with SEND and to work with our two-year-olds. Prapti too has enjoyed seeing the progress and outcomes of those children she has supported with SEND.

    Kelly

    Joined the team in September 2020. Kelly currently works in our Ladybird Room with our babies. She has 20 years of experience working with children from babies to teens as a Nanny. During this period she volunteered as a helper in nurseries. Kelly says “I understand the importance of finding the right kind of nursery for our most precious little ones. For me, The Learning Tree delivers that and I’m excited to be part of this family.” Kelly’s strength to question and support people’s actions has meant that she has become an invaluable member of the team.

    Shyanna

    Shyanna joined The Learning Tree in May 2021. Shyanna just finished University and is awaiting her Degree results. She will soon be undertaking her level 3 in Childcare whilst working with us full time. She has experience working with children ranging from 12 months – 11 years in a range of settings including nurseries, primary schools, holiday clubs and also Scouts. She also has experience in supporting children with SEND.

  • Jade

    Jade

    Is the Nursery Manager. She has been with The Learning Tree since March 2012. She joined The Learning Tree Childcare when it was a Home-Based setting as an Early Years practitioner. She has always been here for the setting by showing versatility and skills in different environments. Jade has grown in her professional development with Mona to develop the setting to what it is today. She continues to strive to ensure that The Learning Tree offers the best to our families. Jade furthered her education in 2018 by gaining a BA Honours Degree in Early Childhood Studies and is Level 6 qualified. Jade leads and supports the team in our shared ethos that the children are at the heart of everything we do! As part of her own professional development she is now providing training to support the team in all that they offer our families. Jade is a qualified Forest School Leader and the Designated Safeguarding Lead for the nursery and the Out of School provision. She supports the setting to further promote the ethos of outdoor play, physical activity and creating an environment where children are confident and have a strong sense of self belief.

    Roxana

    Joined The Learning Tree Childcare in September 2016. She is Level 3 qualified in Childcare and has a Psychology Degree. Roxana is a Practitioner in our Baby Room and has experience working across all three rooms supporting children of all ages. Roxana’s singing and playing the ukulele reminds us how important it is for us all to enjoy music.

    Sam

    Joined the team in 2018. She is working with our 3 and 4 year olds in the Caterpillar Room. Sam is Level 3 qualified in Childcare and previously had 4 years of experience working predominantly with 3 and 4 year olds. Sam brings here confidence and ability to engage children in conversation to support the children in her care.

    Katarina

    Joined the team in December 2020. Katarina works in the Bumblebee Room with the two-year-olds. She has a Level 3 in Childcare and has many years of experience working with children from 6 months to 5 years in nurseries, schools and as a nanny. Katarina has also worked in recruitment for Early Years settings. Katarina’s understanding of our ethos has meant that she has been a strong support to help pass on the message of the setting’s culture as we have new team members join the setting.

    Joana

    Joined the team in January 2021, working with our 3 and 4 year olds in the Caterpillar Room. Joana has a Masters Degree in Preschool Education. Since coming to England from her home country Portugal almost two years ago she gained her Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Joana loves working in a team and believes that educating a child 100% creates their character as an adult. The children are enjoying the opportunity to learn a new language as Joana teaches the children some Portuguese songs.
